A RENAISSANCE FOR THE RENAISSANCE HOTEL HEATHROW
Well the aptly named Renaissance Hotel Heathrow has certainly under gone one of it’s own over the past few months.
The last time I stayed there it certainly flagged up some issues and having to return was not something that I was looking forward to.
However you could knock me down with a Jumbo jet as it will be back on my ‘Stay Here’ return visit radar from now on!

A parking and hotel stay was booked for me and I decided when I arrived to upgrade to an executive room. With the previous room which had been to before somewhat ‘down at heel’ and I wanted at least some improvement on that for my current stay.
With access to the executive lounge included I headed for a rather longish walk following the track of the wavy purple and grey patterned carpet via the lifts to my third floor room.
Without doubt my fears were banished as I opened the door and the vision that I had been half expecting, vanished in a moment.
A contemporary and very comfortable room lay before me with all the modern gizmo’s one would want these days. Stylish furniture and lighter wood cupboards with a spacious glass walled shower in a newly equipped and beige tiled bathroom which complement perfectly the much improved room from what I remembered from my recent experience there.
Follow the wavy carpet at the Renaissance Hotel Heathrow
A decent sized safe, huge easy to operate TV rather than going through a whole host of menus as you often get before you find any channel. Iron and ironing board, kettle, tea and coffee a bathrobe and nicely sized towels good for most figures!
The improvement I found at the Renaissance Hotel Heathrow pleased me as did spending time in the executive lounge where drinks both soft and alcohol were served in the evening along with snack pasta dishes, cheeses, fruit, bread and a dessert that could be washed down with an endless supply of coffees, teas or hot chocolates if you wished.
On my ‘returnability’ scale I would rate this as an 85 out of a 100. Well done to all those that have helped to make this transformation into a true renaissance!
