It is certainly looking like you may not need to be minted to fly premium across the Atlantic starting this summer!
Low cost carrier jetBlue are adding brand new seating into their Mint product for the transatlantic routes from New York and Boston to London.

Two seats at the front will have that little extra too. Called Mint Studio. As the name implies these the two extra-large ‘Mint Studios’ seats were designed to conjure up that studio apartment feel.

The extra expanse in the Studio seats means that there is a ‘jump seat’ for a passenger to use when in the cruise. Great for a work catch-up with a colleague. Moreover when the seat is in lie flat mode then the passenger can really spread out. Almost to a point of doing a starfish when sleeping!
jetBlue will be flying to London with the new Mint class section seating.
Behind will be 22 seats entitled Mint Suite. These will be marketed and sold at different price points. Nevertheless they still have yet to be announced by the company. It is expected that prices will be very competitive. As this is an extremely cut-throat market. For instance it was before Covid-19.
These two types of business class styled seats come with a sliding door for improved privacy. Using Airbus A321LR long range, narrow bodied, twin-engined jets with just a single aisle. Economy class seating is behind the Mint section at the front.

This redesign for the airline comes after their first premium cabin was launched back in 2014.
They have an alternative option for internal flights within the US. For example on the New York to LA route those aircraft will fly with a 16 seat configuration in Mint instead of the international 24 seats.

The roll out of the service will be in the summer. Although no exact date as yet. Starting on the New York to London route with Boston following after.
A business only route from London was tried a few years ago but failed.
The Studio And Suite Offer Two Choices For Premium Travellers
Seats upholstered in vegan leather and will include an adjustable 17-inch Thales Avant entertainment screen. Additionally, business features such as wireless charging and two AC adapters for in-seat power. Plenty of stowage, areas for laptops, shoes and bags. Plus, a wide shelf for those personal devices we all carry now.
