RAIN STORM CLOSES FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW !

RAIN STORM CLOSES FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW !

A huge rainstorm rolled over the Farnborough Airshow on its first day closing it down!

The organisers felt that the conditions over much of the site were too problematical for the show or the flying displays to continue.

The exhibition was cleared of visitors and exhibitors can be seen on the video showing rain causing havoc around the airfield.

The flying display had seen the Airbus’s A380 and the brand new A350 WB got put through their paces but as the rain closed in the military A400 did its best to show off what it could do.

The rain came down like a tropical storm and people dashed for cover or tried to get back to the exhibition halls only to find that flooding had occured there too!

In the end the organisers of the Farnborough Airshow took the decision to close the whole thing down and security teams started to clear the whole site. No easy task!
