Indah Mega Yacht…Does My Transom Look Big?

A stern stretching concept is the latest idea for a mega yacht.

Opalinski Design House has launched the idea of an expandable rear deck on its concept design called ‘Indah’.

This beach club  grows as the stern area can nearly be doubled.  As the wings swing out to create a fan shaped sun and water sports deck.

Being at sea level this allows the small tenders to come alongside the port and starboard wings of the club deck.  Therefore, not blocking off water access or views from the stern. A gym and sauna are part of the design there too.

They have lodged a patent on the design of their rotational bulkhead transoms.

The 120metre (394 foot) long design features a helicopter landing deck.  With hanger storage below if you require that.

Space for 24 guests in12 cabins.  Accommodation for a crew of 32 is possible.

Meanwhile, the private owner’s suite has direct access to a dedicated aft deck balcony.

Many luxurious amenities help to make up the design of the mega yacht.  A fore deck jacuzzi, sunbeds, a retractable sunshade and even an aft pool if the sea is not your taste.

Indah Mega Yacht Can Make An Atlantic Return Trip

With range of 7,000 nautical miles the 5,500 ton vessel will have a speed of 24 knots. Which means, you could cross the Atlantic and come back and still have some fuel left in the tank!

As a point of interest: A super yacht is said to be anything above 80 feet, whilst a mega yacht refers to vessels above 200 feet.
