A ‘suite’ success for Singapore Airlines as their new cabins on their very latest A380 aircraft have been very well received by those fortunately enough to be able to afford them.
Called simply ‘Suites’. These six cabins offer not only plenty of personal space but also a rotatable chair and also a separate full length single bed.
The single bed on the left and rotatable chair right and still plenty of space in the A380 Suites.
A 32inch LED television as well, plus plenty of connectivity and power points for today’s modern traveller.
Looking more like a luxury yacht interior which explains that is was designed by French yacht designer Jean-Jacques Coste. Sporting seating upholstered in full grain leather by Poltrona Frau. Each suite has access to a shared bathroom that includes a sit-down vanity counter.
A fold out table for eating or working at.
Using the drop down sliding wall it is possible to convert a pair of the cabins in such a way as to create a double bed!
It is possible to convert two pairs of the cabins into a double bed suites.
Located on the top deck of the aircraft this special cabin is in front section ahead of the business class seating of 78 seats. Which has now taken over the whole of the remaining upper deck in this new configuration.

Routine changes to the on-board dining menu are a regular feature of the Singapore Airlines catering philosophy.
Currently there are five new aircraft with this up-to-date layout 14. Other planes in the fleet will be retro fitted in time.

With a total capacity of 471 passengers they are accommodated with six in the first class ‘Suites’, 78 in Business, 44 in Premium Economy and 343 in Economy.
Its also a much better location for the Premium Economy passengers. As the cabin has been moved to the front of the lower deck. This means that those class of passengers can get on the plane and turn left! The previous layout meant that the premium cabin was on the upper deck and sandwiched between business and economy.

Overall the plane now has a unified feel on its interior in all the classes with the ‘Suites’ taking pride of place! Perhaps with only the Captain and First Officer having a better position and view!
The cloakroom for the A380 Suites includes a sit down vanity unit.
Sheldon Hee, Singapore Airlines, General Manager of UK & Ireland said: “Bringing the new A380 and new cabins to London so soon after their launch is all part of our continued commitment to the UK market. It was only fitting to do so nearly 10 years after Singapore Airlines debuted the first A380 aircraft at Heathrow back in 2008!”
Currently return fares in the Suites are £6,970 and in Business just under £3,450 with Premium Economy coming in at around the £1,580 mark.
