BEACH VOLLEYBALL THE UK’S FAVORITE VENUE
This annual beach volleyball fixture has been running for over 30 years at Weymouth, Dorset in the UK and is probably the best and the most popular on the UK circuit.
Weymouth Beach Volleyball Classic
As a spectators and players event its near perfect with hundreds of grandstand seats around the show court on the beach and the seaside esplanade provides a great place to watch many of the top international players battle to be in the finals day on the Sunday afternoon.
Many people work behind the scenes for over a year to make the event happen. Over recent years it has been sponsored by the Royal Air Force Recruiting team and the whole event draws thousands of spectators over the 3 day period that it runs in the town, usually around the end of July each year.

There are over 12 courts set up on the fine sandy beach as the event has the power to draw in players from all over Europe and often the world too. Many players from the UK like to use the event to try to get noticed as the event attracts top officials and coaches to the town over the weekend.

The holiday town of Weymouth has one of the safest beaches in the UK and it provides an ideal event for all the family who can watch the action or just take it easy on some of the softest sand you will find anywhere in the UK or maybe even learn to play yourself on the two permanent summer season beach volleyball courts sponsored and provided by ‘Go Spike’.

As probably the best venue on the UK tour the location is pretty well perfect its just a few steps from the town centre itself making it ideal for any sponsor to get the best return from. Currently sponsored by The Royal Air Force however the event would blend well with any sporting or outdoor sponsor.
Played when the town is very busy in the middle of summer season it does draw large crowds and is very welcoming and friendly.
