World music young star Sidiki Diabaté who was playing a return to home concert in the Gambia delighted many fans that spotted him at The Coco Ocean Resort and Spa.
Patience personified as he posed for literally hundreds of fans one after another that was lucky to find him relaxing at the complex with his band and management team.
Born in Bamako, Mali in 1990, Sidiki Diabaté kora-player and hip-hop producer. He is the latest musician into the celebrated Diabaté musical dynasty of West Africa. Sidiki is the eldest son of the world’s greatest kora player Toumani Diabaté, and the grandson of Sidiki Diabaté senior (1922-96) who was considered the greatest player of his own generation.
The five star hotel must have helped the star performer who has musical roots going back hundreds of years in the renowned Diabaté family from nearby Mali.
Sidiki returned to the Gambia specially to play at the main stadium in the country.
Fans visiting or staying in the top hotel were treated to the chance to take selfies with him as he sat on sofas at the main reception.
Happy and relaxed he chatted with fans as they took turns sitting next to him and posing for pictures as the swarms of adoring visitors took their chances to get next to the singer.
