The World Travel Market has many such similar events going on right through the day and into the evening where representatives form the different tourism organisations try hard to attract writers and broadcasters to see and expereince a little of what their country or destination can offer.
It is often food and local customs that tend to win out but sometimes its celebrities, film and sports stars that are used to tempt the writers and just on one or two occasions it can be royalty as well!
